Thanks to cut-outs on the inside of the plates, the chain harmonizes perfectly with the Dynamic Chain Engagement+ (DCE+) narrow-wide tooth profiles of the Shimano 12-speed chainrings. The design results in a tighter fit of the chain on the teeth. Vibrations are avoided and the smoother chain run is not only noticeable when pedaling, but also manifests itself acoustically through a quieter drive. Thanks to a new chrome-plated surface in combination with the proven SIL-TEC coating, the service life of the chain has been kept at the same level as the M8000 chain, despite the smaller outer width.

Shimano introduced the Di2 Wireless Unit SM-EWW01 (previous version of the EW-WU101) featuring the new Shimano D-Fly Data Management system. This wireless component added another dimension to the Di2 experience by wirelessly connecting riders to their Di2 data through a cycling computer.
The Di2 wireless unit is a compact wireless data transmitter. It easily plugs into the E-tube wiring system and seamlessly connects Di2 equipped bikes to a compatible wireless cycle computer. SHIMANO Center Lock RT-MT800 brake disc | 160mm IceTech FREEZA | with magnetic locking ring for EW-SS302
With the Ice-Tech cooling technology, the RT-MT800 brake disc ensures constant braking performance even on longer descents. The brake disc is characterized by a three-layer sandwich construction. The stainless steel flanks with an aluminum core offer significantly improved heat dissipation. This allows the temperature to be reduced by around 100 °C.
In addition, the FREEZA aluminum cooling fins reduce the system temperature by around a further 50 °C thanks to their increased surface area. Due to the higher heat dissipation, smaller brake discs than usual can be installed. In addition, the service life of the brake pad is significantly extended.
As is typical for Shimano, the discs are suitable for the center lock mount , which enables quick and easy installation, offers a secure hold and ensures a clean and compact look. A lighter aluminum carrier saves a few grams of weight compared to the previous version.
The magnet integrated in the lockring serves as a signal pickup for the Shimano Steps EW-SS302 speed sensor.

SHIMANO SLX BL-M7100 BRAKE LEVER
The SLX BL-M7100 hydraulic brake lever is distinguished by Shimano 's SERVOWAVE technology, which ensures particularly good dosing. Because the brake lever absorbs a large braking distance from the start of its movement, the brake pads make contact with the brake disc more quickly and there is more lever distance left to modulate the braking force. SERVO WAVE braking systems are therefore distinguished by a faster reaction, higher power and a shorter idle stroke.
The design of the SLX brake lever follows that of the XTR model and is therefore not mounted parallel to the handlebar, but at an angle, so that it rests, in addition to the clamp, on a second point on the handlebar , which makes it significantly stiffer than before. For individual adaptation, the lever is equipped with a tool-free grip width adjustment option. Thanks to the I-Spec EV design, the SLX SL-M7100-I shifters can be mounted directly on the brake lever.

The Shimano SLX BR-M7120 Postmount brake caliper is ideal for enduro and downhill thanks to its 4-piston construction. Thanks to an accelerated piston reset, the modulation behavior could be further improved compared to its predecessor, which results in better braking control. The N03A resin brake pads with Ice-Tech cooling fins, in combination with the powerful 4-piston brake caliper, guarantee very good deceleration.
