MIPS AIR ® - Brain Protection System

MET never compromises on safety or performance. By adding Mips AIR®, MET have integrated into the padding, the lightest and most advanced rotational management system.

Mips AIR® was specifically developed and designed to be the lightest system possible to reduce rotational energies transferred to the head during specific angular impacts.

Unlike traditional Mips cages, Mips AIR® is integrated into the padding of the Trenta 3k Carbon and enables 10-15mm of relative movement between the energy absorbing layer and the padding.

FEATURES:

• BRAIN PROTECTION SYSTEM - The MIPS-C2® solution separates the shell and the liner with a thin plastic Low Friction Layer (LFL). This LFL, attached with 4 rubber elastomers, allows the helmet to slide relative to the head in the case of a crash, redirecting damaging rotational motion.
• ADJUSTABLE VISOR - The visor has three adjustable positions to allow storage of goggles and sunglasses.
• INTEGRATED VISOR CLIPS - There are clips on the visor and a rear edge, which keep any goggle’s strap in place during the ride.
• FLEXIBLE INJECTED VISOR - The visor is flexible injected to adapt to the shell of the helmet in a crash. This unique feature helps to manage, extra rotational forces transferred to your neck.
• FIT SYSTEM - All-round belt offers 360 adjustment, Three positions for vertical adjustment, Two positions for occipital adjustment, Ponytail compatible.
• STRAP CAMERA MOUNT COMPATIBLE - The EPS shell is designed with a channel under the top vents for perfect compatibility between the strap on your action camera and the inner padding.
• VENTILATION - All MET helmets are known for how ventilated they are. The Roam Mips features 22 vents that, together with the purpose-built internal channels, provide optimal airflow.
• EXTENDED HEAD COVERAGE - The back of the head and the temples are especially in need of protection from impact, so we’ve increased the coverage around these key areas, without sacrificing the helmet’s light weight.
• COMFORT PADDING - The MET Roam has been rewarded for its comfortable fit. The inner padding has an extended surface area which provides the perfect stability without disturbing internal airflow.
