The SLX BL-M7100 hydraulic brake lever is distinguished by Shimano 's SERVOWAVE technology, which ensures particularly good dosing. Because the brake lever absorbs a large braking distance from the start of its movement, the brake pads make contact with the brake disc more quickly and there is more lever distance left to modulate the braking force. SERVO WAVE braking systems are therefore distinguished by a faster reaction, higher power and a shorter idle stroke.
The design of the SLX brake lever follows that of the XTR model and is therefore not mounted parallel to the handlebar, but at an angle, so that it rests, in addition to the clamp, on a second point on the handlebar , which makes it significantly stiffer than before.
