SHIMANO SLX BL-M7100 BRAKE LEVER
The SLX BL-M7100 hydraulic brake lever is distinguished by Shimano 's SERVOWAVE technology, which ensures particularly good dosing. Because the brake lever absorbs a large braking distance from the start of its movement, the brake pads make contact with the brake disc more quickly and there is more lever distance left to modulate the braking force. SERVO WAVE braking systems are therefore distinguished by a faster reaction, higher power and a shorter idle stroke.
The design of the SLX brake lever follows that of the XTR model and is therefore not mounted parallel to the handlebar, but at an angle, so that it rests, in addition to the clamp, on a second point on the handlebar , which makes it significantly stiffer than before. SHIMANO brake pads G05S Resin without cooling fins
Shimano original synthetic resin pads with high braking performance for maximum power on your Shimano disc brakes. Synthetic resin pads offer reduced noise when braking in both dry and wet conditions. Since even materials research cannot outsmart physics, there is of course a disadvantage - the wear of the resin-based pads is higher and the temperature stability is also limited, but the service life of your brake discs normally increases. However, the synthetic pad has been improved, making the G05S-RX brake pads 50% more durable than their predecessor.
If you need more braking power, then we recommend the corresponding Shimano metal brake pads.

Shimano XTR BL-M9120 brake lever
The Shimano engineers have redesigned the XTR 9100 brake levers from a braking system that had been already the benchmark among mountainbike braking systems. For the BL-M9120 levers both the clamp and the lever body itself have been modified. The clamp moves further into the middle of the lever and is angled. This cleverly supports the outer end of the expansion tank directly on the handlebars and creates an additional counter bearing for lever actuation.
This significantly increases stiffness and stability, what ultimately leads to an even more direct brake feeling and improved control. So the BL-M9120 is 8 % stiffer than its predecessor, too. The Enduro brake lever is especially developed for use with the BR-M9120 4-piston caliper and features a tool-free reach adjustment as well as an additional adjustment option for the free travel. Servo Wave technology guarantees smooth and predictable control with the right balance of power and rigidity. Thanks to the I-Spec EV design the XTR SL-M9120 shifting levers can be mounted directly to the brake lever.

The adapter extends the standard brake disc size of the fork or rear triangle by 20 mm. Please check your fork or rear triangle which post mount variant is installed. Based on the standard brake disc size, the adapter increases the brake disc size by the specified information in millimeters.

Shimano XTR BL-M9100 brake lever.
Starting with a braking system that was already the benchmark among mountain bike braking systems, Shimano engineers reworked the design of the XTR 9100 brake levers. Changed were for the BL-M9100 the lever both the clamp and the grip body itself. The clamp moves further into the center of the handle and is angled. This cleverly supports the outer end of the balance tank directly on the handlebar and creates an additional abutment during lever operation.
This significantly increases the stiffness and stability, which ultimately leads to an even more direct brake feel and better controllability. Thus, the BL-M9100 is also 10% stiffer compared to its predecessor. The grip width of the lightweight XC brake lever with a magnesium housing is also individually adjustable. Thanks to I-Spec EV construction, the XTR SL-M9100-I shift levers can be mounted directly on the brake lever.
