Semi Slick for XC races: the Rekon Race folding tyre by Maxxis in a set
This tyre is a real XC champion. Its semi-slick tread makes it extremely fast, but still offers you enough grip to get to the front of the pack. The best way to ride the Rekon Race is on the rear wheel, in combination with an aggressive tyre on the front wheel.
Note from the manufacturer:
Maxxis strongly advises against the use of ammonia-based sealant. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after only a few months, depending on the amount used.
