MAXXIS AGGRESSOR DOUBLE DOWN WT 29" FOLDING TYRE
Regular price OMR 35 Save OMR -35The Aggressor is designed for very fast, modern mountain bike trails. Advanced lug design provides additional grippy edges and reinforced side lugs offer increased stability in fast corners. An all trail tyre suitable for everything from easy trails to difficult enduro tracks.
Note from the manufacturer:
Maxxis strongly advises against the use of ammonia-based sealant. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after only a few months, depending on the amount used.
Before you replace components on your e-bike, please read through the guidelines for component replacement for CE-marked e-bikes/pedelecs with pedal assistance.
29x2.5
Dual
For the Dual Compound, two different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned individually according to the desired properties of Maxxis tyres.
Double Down
Double Down tyres are constructed just like the downhill tyres from Maxxis. However, the two carcass layers, which are reinforced with a butyl inlay, each have 120 (instead of 60) tpi. Combined with the aramid bead, this makes the tyres considerably lighter.
Wide Trail (WT):
This design optimises the tread layout and tyre shape on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed for narrower rims and become square on wider rims, resulting in a less than optimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension of 30 - 40 mm.
Tubeless Ready
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure. This gives better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures is reduced. Maxxis TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other " tubeless ready" tyres. The bead of the Maxxis TR tyres is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tyre. As a result, tubeless mounting is successful for all rims with standard dimensions even during the first inflation and with little liquid.

Maxxis Assegai 3C MaxxGrip Downhill WT TR 29" Folding Tyre
Regular price OMR 35 Save OMR -35Two years of development time, the essence of 30 years of racing experience and the expert knowledge of 50 years of tyre production have gone into Maxxis Assegai, the signature tyre from Greg Minnaar.
" My idea was to design a tyre around some of Maxxis' iconic tread patterns. I started in the centre by combining the Minion DHF and the Minion DHR II. The reason for this was that the surface of the DHF rolls well and maintains grip superbly on hardpack, in greasy turns and on wet roots and rocks. The DHR II added faster rolling speed and more aggressive braking.
Next, I worked on the 'extra' lug to give you more support when leaning the bike over so that there is a consistent feeling all the way onto the side lugs. And that is how we move on to talk about my all-time favourite tyre - the HighRoller. Maxxis engineers and I redesigned the HighRoller side lugs so that they had pretty much the same characteristics as the original did. But with the support provided by the extra lug, you have the ultimate wingman when cutting hard through flat turns.
In the end I took the lug height from the Shorty. The lugs are well-supported, which enables the raised tread to easily bite into forest soil and dry, dusty ground."Greg Minnaar

3C MaxxTerra
The Freeride version of Maxxis 3C compounds. More grip and traction than the 3C MaxxSpeed compound, with less rolling resistance and longer durability than 3C MaxxGrip. The ideal Enduro and Freeride mixture, because it combines good rolling resistance uphill with great grip on the descent.
At Maxxis, the 3C tread is moulded from three different rubber compounds in one piece and not subsequently assembled from two strips. Therefore, the treads can be shaped exactly according to the requirements of the respective tyre model, thus optimising the riding characteristics.
