SHIMANO SLX BL-M7100 BRAKE LEVER

The SLX BL-M7100 hydraulic brake lever is distinguished by Shimano 's SERVOWAVE technology, which ensures particularly good dosing. Because the brake lever absorbs a large braking distance from the start of its movement, the brake pads make contact with the brake disc more quickly and there is more lever distance left to modulate the braking force. SERVO WAVE braking systems are therefore distinguished by a faster reaction, higher power and a shorter idle stroke.

The design of the SLX brake lever follows that of the XTR model and is therefore not mounted parallel to the handlebar, but at an angle, so that it rests, in addition to the clamp, on a second point on the handlebar , which makes it significantly stiffer than before. For individual adaptation, the lever is equipped with a tool-free grip width adjustment option. Thanks to the I-Spec EV design, the SLX SL-M7100-I shifters can be mounted directly on the brake lever.

The Shimano SLX BR-M7120 Postmount brake caliper is ideal for enduro and downhill thanks to its 4-piston construction. Thanks to an accelerated piston reset, the modulation behavior could be further improved compared to its predecessor, which results in better braking control. The N03A resin brake pads with Ice-Tech cooling fins, in combination with the powerful 4-piston brake caliper, guarantee very good deceleration.

The Shimano Deore XT BL-M8100 brake lever's clamp is angled what leads to direct contact between compensation tank and handlebar. The so created two contact points provide significantly increased stiffness, which ultimately results in more direct feedback and thus more braking power.

Compared to its predecessor a quicker piston retraction leads to superior modulation what results in an improved braking control. The N03A Resin or N04C Metal brake pads with Ice-Tech cooling fins in combination with the powerful 4-piston caliper guarantee extremely good deceleration. In addition, the design with 4 pistons reduces disc brake rotor wobbling noise and increases the braking power by 10 % compared to the BR-M8020 caliper.

However, the suspension of the lever has been fundamentally revised. In combination with a support of the master piston on the handlebar, the brake lever offers a significantly more direct brake feel. Shimano XTR BL-M9120 brake lever

The Shimano engineers have redesigned the XTR 9100 brake levers from a braking system that had been already the benchmark among mountainbike braking systems. For the BL-M9120 levers both the clamp and the lever body itself have been modified. The clamp moves further into the middle of the lever and is angled. This cleverly supports the outer end of the expansion tank directly on the handlebars and creates an additional counter bearing for lever actuation.

This significantly increases stiffness and stability, what ultimately leads to an even more direct brake feeling and improved control. So the BL-M9120 is 8 % stiffer than its predecessor, too. The Enduro brake lever is especially developed for use with the BR-M9120 4-piston caliper and features a tool-free reach adjustment as well as an additional adjustment option for the free travel. Servo Wave technology guarantees smooth and predictable control with the right balance of power and rigidity. Thanks to the I-Spec EV design the XTR SL-M9120 shifting levers can be mounted directly to the brake lever.
