CeramicSpeed's Oversized Pulley Wheel System (OSPW) is the logical consequence of minimizing friction. Due to the large derailleur pulleys with 15 teeth at the top and 19 teeth at the bottom, the wrap radii of the chain are significantly reduced, which is noticeable in the lower friction. In addition, the larger rear derailleur rollers offer a longer service life than other commercially available systems.

Technically, the OSPW system is equipped with high-performance bearings and special ceramic balls made of third-grade silicon nitrite (best grade achieved for ceramic bearings). The ball bearing cage is made of reinforced polyamide, with a hardened steel race and polished groove. The CeramicSpeed bearing balls are 15% harder, 100% smoother and 99% more resilient than standard ceramic balls. CeramicSpeed bearings are considered the best ceramic bearings in the world.
The bearing cage is made of carbon fibers reinforced with polyamide so that the forces can be better distributed and absorbed and your rear derailleur works perfectly even in the most adverse conditions.

Product description

Italian-threaded bottom bracket shells are typically found on Italian-brand road bikes. The shell measures 70mm wide and has a 35mm inner diameter.

This kit has all the pieces necessary to install 24mm diameter spindle cranks into an ITA shell. Those cranks come from Shimano, FSA, and others.

CeramicSpeed bearings pressed into threaded cups, then threaded into the frame. Those bearings comprise either Standard or Coated Bearings. Super round, super smooth CeramicSpeed balls rotate in hardened-steel races in both. The Coated version has a metallic coating laid onto the races, making them even harder and smoother, resulting in longer life and lower drag.

CONTINENTAL GP5000 TT TR TIRE (TIME TRIAL - TUBELESS READY)

Filipo Ganna, double time trial world champion and hour record holder, proves to be the ideal collaborator for the development of a tire specialized in time trials. In partnership with Daniel Bigham, British racing cyclist and aerodynamic engineer, Continental has made significant improvements to the TT. Weighing 35 grams less in 25 mm compared to the Grand Prix 5000 S TR, this tire is a real technological feat.

This new tyre, like the brand's other models, is compatible with rims without hooks (max. 5 bars like the AS) and is also Tubeless. According to the firm, the ideal assembly to improve rolling resistance is to use a 28 mm tire at the rear and a 25 mm at the front, with both sections available.

The Continental Grand Prix 5000 TT TR is exclusively offered in black sidewalls, and uses the BlackChili compound for the rubber, as well as liquid crystal polymers and Vectran for the anti-puncture reinforcement (five times more resistant to tearing than a nylon carcass). As on the AS, the Lazer grip allows better cornering, while the Active comfort ensures effective vibration filtration.

CONTINENTAL Tire Grand Prix 5000 S TR Tubeless 28" | 700 x 28C BlackChili VectranBreaker

Although the Continental Grand Prix 5000 is still one of the fastest and most popular road bike tires, it didn't stop the German manufacturer's developers from launching a tubeless-ready (TR) version that has been improved in all areas.
At first glance, the 5000 S TR is almost indistinguishable from the previous version. However, the familiar Lazer Grip tread structure conceals a completely new design. In contrast to the previous version, the 5000 S TR has only 2 instead of 3 layers of fabric under the tread. This ensures better adaptation to the surface and contributes significantly to the 20% reduction in rolling resistance. Thanks to the Vectran Breaker puncture protection layer and the grippy Black Chili tread inherited from the previous version, the reduced number of plies does not have a negative effect on puncture protection. The sidewalls still consist of 3 layers with a newly added protective layer. This not only improves the puncture protection of the sidewalls by 28%, it also ensures a more stable running of the tire at low air pressures. A new, patented tubeless construction, which does not require a sealing rubber layer, makes the tire 50 grams lighter than the previous version.
Long awaited by many Conti fans, the new 5000 S TR is now also compatible with hookless rims. However, it can still be ridden with classic clincher rims and also with a tube.
The new tubeless tire has already proven its outstanding properties and versatility in racing. Both the world champion title in the individual time trial and the victory at Paris-Roubaix were won on the 5000 ST R.

Vectran Breaker
Vectran ™ is a synthetically produced high-tech fiber with a natural model. Like spider silk, Vectran ™ is a liquid crystalline polymer (LCP). Vectran ™ is spun from the molten liquid polymer Vectra and further processed into a multi-fiber yarn. Both spider silk and Vectran ™ have enormous tensile strength at very low weight. Higher puncture resistance and lower weight are the advantages of the Vectran breaker. Vectran is more cut-resistant than aramid, 5 times more tensile than steel and lighter than a nylon thread, without affecting rolling resistance. This makes it the ideal protective layer for tires. Vectran was developed for airbag systems in the automotive and aerospace industries.
