SPD-SL - SPD-SL is the road specific refinement of the system. This pedal platform was designed specifically for the needs of world-class road racers. The seamless pedal and cleat interface for a more efficient power transfer under the extreme pedaling loads encountered in race competitions.

Shimano Dynalast - The toe-spring section of a cycling shoe plays a key role in supporting efficient pedaling. Too high, and it causes increased tension in the plantar, calf, and hamstring muscles. Too low, and you get a bowlegged, inefficient pedaling form. Extensive research by Shimano's R&D experts has produced a superior shoe last design with an optimised toe-spring section that promotes a smoother, more energy-efficient upstroke. Built based on feedback from pro riders, Shimano Dynalast helps reduce energy loss on long rides, letting you keep more in the tank for that final sprint to the line.

We have always been passionate about adventurous trail running. The Revolutiv Protect is an evolution of the Revolutiv, the high ankle sock construction provides you with additional protection from sand, gravel and snow. The high sock replaces the need to use a separate gaiter, fitting like a gasket around your ankle with a full internal sock construction creating a unique dual system of integrated shoe and gaiter. The TWS (Tendon Wrapping System) on the outer part of the shoe creates a solid fit between foot and shoe. Add a D+ Grip Dynamic outsole with an aggressive 6mm tread and a Dual+, dual-density midsole and you get the best companion for the toughest terrain.

The Dual+ Midsole is the dual-density system. Softer areas are next to the heel for absorption when heel striking and also next to the ground in the forefoot to help spread point pressure from rocks and roots. The midsole also has a torsion bar in the midfoot to increase support and stability while keeping the forefoot free to move and adapt to terrain changes.
